Christopher Morabito, MD, FAAP, is a pediatrician at the Welcare Center.
Dr. Morabito graduated from Franklin & Marshall in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He then earned his medical degree from Pennsylvania State University, completed his residency in pediatrics at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California, and received fellowship training in neonatal and perinatal medicine at the University of California at San Francisco.
After receiving subspecialty certification as a neonatologist, Dr. Morabito joined the Lehigh Valley Hospital and Health Network in Allentown, Pennsylvania, where he was appointed the Chief of Neonatology. While at Lehigh Valley, his aptitude for integrating scientific breakthroughs with the art of pediatric medicine was widely recognized.
Dr. Morabito is a well-known expert in the care of newborns, infants, and children, and has participated in the development of guidelines for pediatric practice designed to improve the health and well being of children of all ages. He is particularly skilled in directing care for patients with complex conditions and in the long-term management of premature infants and high-risk newborns.
Dr. Morabito is board certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics and received subspecialty certification in neonatal and perinatal medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Medical Association.
He resides in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, with his wife, daughter and St. Bernard, Wilbur. Dr. Morabito is also a national-level elite cyclist and is a certified USA Cycling coach.
