How long does the procedure last?
A typical Fractional Laser treatment can last 30-60 minutes, yet all times are subject to variation given the areas being treated.
Are these treatments painful?
Most clients report minimal discomfort, and topical anesthetics are applied 30-45 minutes prior to treatment for more comfort control. After a Fractional Laser treatment, most patients report mild discomfort, that feels like a typical sunburn. This transient effect generally subsides within an hour.
How will I look following a treatment?
The skin will appear pink or red for a few days. The repair process typically
entails a bronzing period for a few days, and some scabbing may occur.
Over a period of 24 hours, new skin will begin to develop over the areas
treated as old skin begins to flake off and exfoliate.
What are the most common side effects
following a treatment?
The most common side effects associated with Fractional Laser treatments
include swelling and redness. This is considered normal, and can be alleviated
with the application of ice packs for the first 24 hours, or a mild, over the
counter pain medication. In some cases, excessive flaking or crusting may
occur after aggressive or high-intensity treatments. This too is known to
subside with limited risk of infection or scarring. Be sure to follow the
